Just curious, what are we likely to evolve into? I am aware of research made into this and have heard a version on the topic, but most important of all, what do you think? what will we look like after we evolve?

For a new "species" to emerge there must be some sort of system preventing different groups of humanity from crossing with each other. On earth that is unlikely to happen, with more and more transportation people from one area are more likely to cross with other "races" to create offspring than any time in the past. Therefore the future is going to look more like the "average" of all people alive today.

Also for a species to "evolve" there must be something that selects for new traits, killing off individuals before they produce offspring or reducing the number of offspring that they produce.

Again here the "game" has changed, and many humans survive due to medicine with genetic "disadvantages" that would not have been eliminated in the past. A genetic defect that would have killed in the past may now (and in the future) be cured by a pill.

If humanity ever does "evolve" into new species it probably will be the result of space exploration, if a subset of humanity becomes isolated on another planet for the thousands of generations for "differences" to develop.

The other possiblity is that a subset of humanity decides to modify themselves to become a new "species" using genetic technology. But even then the species "barrier" could then be overcome by using the same technology.
