Only if they know what their doing. They can see where you're coming from. But thats not even the real issue with using limewire. since its person-to-person sharing, it is more dangerous with viruses and spyware. why take that risk when you can use more secure resources like torrentreactor.net with bitlord or utorrent. torrent sites almost always scan the files before posting them on their sites for you. And its usually coming from a third party and not directly the person so its safer from hackers.

When downloading off of limewire a hacker is able to hide a trojan in your downloads so you download it and you set off the trojan and the hacker has full control of your computer. If you are going to use it make sure that you use a dependable virus scanning program. Before running anything. Also make sure to not download illegally.

Using limewire is like having sex: Always use protection!! I would reccommend a good firewall/antivirus program. I use norton internet security 2006. It's really good. SCAN EVERYTHING YOU DOWNLOAD!! VIRUSES ARE EVERYWHERE IN LIMEWIRE. if all you download is music and pics you're pretty much safe... if you're out there downloading programs and keygens you'll get so many viruses it can really mess up your pc. don't mess with limewire unless you have a reallly strong security program in place!!! good luck

Not really. It is very easy to get viruses and all that bad stuff. If you do use it, make sure you have a good antivirus software installed on your computer.

I don't suggest it.
I know people that haven't had problems.
But in my personal experience, it will cause serious problem for your PC, my ex had problems with it too on her MAC.
Spyware and stuff is all over the place in LimeWire.
Go to bearshare.com instead

nothing that involves the internet and downloading can be 100% safe but for the most part it is just watch what your doing
