I'm 22 weeks pregnant and for the last few days only in the morning when i wake up i feel like i have to spit, and when i do there's blood in it. The rest of the day i don't spit any blood. I'm stating to get worried i asked my doctor and she said it might be from my nose, but i just want to make sure it isn't anything worst..

Chances are it's your gums. I had the same problem--my gums just bled and bled. I went to the dentist, and he said that it was the beginning of gum disease + being pregnant. It's not a rare symptom of pregnancy to have bleeding gums.

The hormones and also the increased blood volume from pregnancy causes more blood to flow to some of the smaller blood vessels. The small vessels can't always handle to pressure and they burst. A lot of pregnant women suffer from nosebleeds during their pregnancy because of this. Pregnancy also takes a toll on your teeth and gums so it could be the beginning of gum disease.

I would make a dentist appointment right away, as it may be your gums. Or get a humidifier, because it could be your nose, too. lol Test out the humidifier first, and then if that doesn't work, try the dentist.

If you go, make sure you tell the dentist you are pregnant!

It's most likely your gums, swish some listerine in your mouth twice a day for a few days. Pregnancy is rough on your teeth and gums it sounds like the early stages of gingivitis (spelling?)

Gum disease is pretty common with pregnancy. The baby takes all the nutrients it needs from what you eat, and you get the leftovers. Make sure you are taking a calcium supplement, but it should resolve after you have the baby.

See how long it goes on for, if it doesn't stop, go back to your GP, and say how worried you are.
