A Stanley knife flat blade. I always have one handy. Really useful for cleaning hob, surfaces, edges and grooves in counters and white goods. Also really good for removing scrambled egg or milk/sauce stuck to the bottom of steel saucepans, you can clean the oven and windows with it, scrape chewing gum and paint off things, get rid of silly putty and gloop from just about anything with it.....

No contest, I could do most things with hot water and my trusty blade. I wouldn't use it on my body for anything though....

I really like baby wipes. I used to use them only for changing my son's diaper, but on a camping trip in July (where we had no running water) I used them to freshen myself up, clean cooking pots, wipe down tables, ect. At home, I now use them if I need to remove my makeup in a hurry (never tried this with waterproof eye makeup) and I also use them to clean the kitchen table and coffee table, and you will be so surprised at how much dirt they can pick up!

I wouldn't chose soap as that just keeps you clean. I would choose a kitchen knife. You could make other things you need and it could be used as everything from a basic knife to a screwdriver to an instrument to hunt food. It would be invaluable for survival.
