It's up to you to be the bigger man. Let her be petty - that's what she does.

In my last relationship i used to just smile when we came to that point in the argument. You know, one of those "I win" smiles with a soft chuckle to boot. Most girls will just fold over and giggle their asses off at this point. If she doesn't...you might have a problem.

Many people have this trait. I think it comes from being afraid to be wrong - they are not confident in themselves to admit to a mistake. You can talk to her about it - what makes her feel she must always be right. By the way - two words to leave out of a "discussion" is "always" and "never"

Happens all the time. Get a voice recorder. I recommend an Olympus VN-480PC. I carry it with me all the time, and it hooks up to a computer through a USB 2.0. It's great for a "HA! SEE!! I TOLD YOU!!"

I can't believe this question. I have a husband who is the exact same way - there's no way to win when they change everything-
Sometimes i wanna smack him with a book. You know what I finally decided? That unless the topic has to do with something very, very serious - let them win, who cares? If its that important to them, I don't really care - I just drop it, because frankly I have other actual important things to do with my time that sit and argue with someone who isn't even secure enough in himself to play fair. When the kids are grown, and he sees me walking out of the door with my suitcases, and says " I know you are leaving me" - hey, he'll be right!!

I think that your wife may not be able to handle not being right all the time. Maybe she feels that you will criticize her for being wrong or this may make her feel in control.

She seems to be insecure. Maybe if you found out what she is interested in (like painting etc) you could talk to her about that. Compliment her on her knowledge. Maybe if she felt smart in one area she wouldn't try so hard to overcompensate in everything else.
