No having morning sickness is a very reassuring thing even if it goes longer then you expected. Women get morning sickness from a hormone that keeps you pregnancy going until the placenta is form and ready to work on its own. You have a strong and healthy pregnancy. Morning sickness can last the whole 40 weeks. This does not indicate that there is anything wrong. Try keeping hard candy around and when you get nauseated pop some hard candy in your mouth and see if that helps. Also try eating snacks inbetween you meals. The nauseating feeling could mean you are getting and empty stomach earlier then you are used to when you are not pregnant. Remember it takes more energy (more food) to grow a baby and still take care of you self. Enjoy your pregnancy and good luck.

Actually the sicker you are the better....it means the baby is thriving and the pregnancy is progressing, so dont freak out...nothing is wrong!!
My morning sickness was actually 24/7 sickness from 6 weeks to 20 weeks, then it came back just in the morning from 22-26wks.
If its really bad call your dr and ask for Promethazine (generic of Phenergan) or Zofran. I actually had to be on both because mine was so bad.
Drink lots of water and lay on your left side to try and ease it in the meantime.
I'm going to go ahead and guess your having a girl....LOL My sickness was really bad with my daughter and almost nonexistant with my son.
Good luck & congrats! I hope you feel better soon!

For me, my morning sickness was ALL day!! It was awful....and it lasted til closer to 20 weeks. I never thought it would end. I tried EVERYTHING....hard candy sometimes worked, pieces of cheese to snack on sometimes, but sometimes nothing. I'm sure it doesnt indicate a problem. I am now 26 weeks and so far everything looks and sounds great with me and baby. I hope it eases up for you soon, i know how awful that is. In the mean time i guess just keep trying things like hard candies....jolly ranches actually worked sometimes for me. good luck to ya!

The mild to moderate nausea and occasional vomiting commonly associated with morning sickness won't threaten your baby's well-being. If you don't gain any weight in the first trimester, it's generally not a problem as long as you're able to stay hydrated and aren't starving yourself. In most cases, your appetite will return soon enough and you'll begin gaining weight.
If nausea keeps you from eating a balanced diet, be sure to take a prenatal vitamin to make certain you're getting the nutrients you need. (Choose one with a low dose of iron or no iron if that mineral makes your nausea worse.)
Severe and prolonged vomiting has been linked to a greater risk of preterm birth, low birth weight, and newborns who are small for their gestational age. However, a recent study of women who were hospitalized with severe vomiting found that those who were able to gain at least 15.4 pounds (7 kilograms) during their pregnancy had no worse outcomes than other women.

When I was pregnant with my daughter I wasn't sick at all. In fact I felt better.
Now I"m pregnant with a boy and I had morning sickness all the time until about 15 or 16 weeks. I just ate what sounded good and didn't do any cooking. Which meant I ate a lot of ding-dongs, cheetos and drank tons of soda. Also for dinners my husband and I ate tons of tv dinners.

With my DS #1, I was sick the ENTIRE pregnancy. Tried all kinds of folk remedies and different things, but nothing worked. They gave me shots of some anti-nausea stuff, but i would then go to sleep for an entire day (at least I wasn't throwing up!). You will be fine - just remember to call your doctor if you get too dehydrated, feel week or don't feel the baby move.

With my expereience, I had 0 morning sickness with my 1st, and a considerable amout for my second. It finally eased up by about the 4thor 5th month. My third I was sick til month 7, and suffered from migranes and dehydration, so if you are getting really sick often, make sure you tell your doc to that you can get the fluids you need.
Good luck

I am actually the opposite of you. I had morning sickness all day every day with my first pregnancy, but with my second pregnancy I didn't have any sickness at all. It didn't indicate a sign of anything being wrong, but my doctor did give me something for the nausea around 16 weeks.
Good luck!

I've only given birth to one child and my all day morning sickness lasted about 5-6 months. Horrible. But alot of my problem was the prenatal vitamins - my body couldn't handle all that extra iron and it was constantly making me sick. The smell of food made me sick...It will pass in time and keep in mind each pregnancy is different.

i had morning sickness for a couple of months from almost the day i got pregnant. it SUCKED. try eating crackers before you get out of bed and drink water. also do that throughout the day. you can ask you ob for nausea medicine. my doctor gave me something and said that i should hav asked earlier because of getting sick all through the day. oncei asked though and i got it in my system, things got a lot better. also try Mommy Pops. theyre suckers with someting in them that helps nausea. you can find them probably at your local maternity store
