Using the Number pad for numbers. That is the ENTIRE NUMBER, as it is this is the 4 digit code. But the 3 digit given in other examples also works.
Alt+0241 ñ
Alt+0209 Ñ
Some Versions of Word use Ctrl+~ followed by n or Shift+N depending on which case you want to use.

I dont think it is an option on a standard keyboard. The symbol is there next to the number one but I dont know how you get it above a letter.
