Being in love is so great, so i think if you are in love there shouldnt be time line for how long to wait to get married. As for sorting out feelings, it depends on the feeling they are sorting out. Marriage is a big HUGE step. I think you would feel better if you knew the other person to took the time to be 100% sure its what they are wanting. It dont mean its a bad thing. I personally would wait and give it as much as needed if its real love. An engagment can last years. That dont mean there is any less love.

I think you should move to the next step when it feels right. Some people get married after 2 weeks and last for 50 years while I know a couple that dated for 5 years and was only married less than a month.

That is hard because every relationship is different I do believe most people wait maybe 2-3yrs before making the next step but some go even longer it all depends on the people involved and there views on marriage and the whole commitment thing.

It all depends on the two people. It could be as little as 6 weeks or as long as 2 years. It all depends on if you are ready. Now if he's out of the states, I would at least wait until he gets back.

Although I don't think you can put a time limit on things I do believe you should know the person completely before taking the plunge. Talk about everything, money, careers, kids, religion, family, hobbies, wants and desires.

If your waiting for to get married to the person you are in love with i think that you should wait until they are ready if you really love them. everyperson is different and it depends on the relationship. My husband was with a girl for five years and she was always nagging about getting married. He wasnot ready. then he met me when they broke up and we got married after a year and a half. we have now been married two years and together for just about four. I have asked him why he married me so quickly and never wanted to marry her after five years and he said she just wasnt the one for him.= and I was.
