People in pound shops say to their friends, "Is everything a pound"?

My friend often says this to me.....she'll say 'It was only a quid from the pound shop!'
then I'll say..'Really a quid?...From the pound shop?..I'd never have guessed!'

yes I have heard, I hear every day, infact the last thing I heard was the computer keys a second ago,

no I havent heard the pound thing in the pound store, what I have heard in a pound store was "but I thought it was a pound- I thought everything was supposed to be a pound, thats why I thought you were called the pound shop", shortly folloed by
"PER ITEM" THEN "shall I get the manager?"

Everytime I go in the pound shop, there are some kids harassing the people who work there going, "How much is this? What about this? What about this one?" - "Thats a pound. That one too." [getting more annoyed] "That's also a pound. And that bloody one is a pound!"

I do love the British. And nothing beats an English girl (with that accent) asking if I can give her a pound.

I have heard the same thing,but some dollar stores price things over a dollar.

yes but, when i went in with other half the other day, i said to my other half "are you sure thats a pound", he just gave me the look lol

Hehe maybe you should've asked this on the UK site...we use DOLLARS. Same here though, not everything in Dollar Stores is a dollar.
