How many bums ask you for change when you are out and about?

Do you give them a quarter? Or do you give them a piece of your mind?

Here in the home of Chubby Checker (Andrews, SC) we don't have very many bums.. ..............but the ones that do approach me ...............I ask them what they plan on doing with the money and then when they lie to me I usually roll the window up on their arm and drag them half way down the road. HHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's a unique concept--very original. I need to go to the grocery store today (where panhandlers hang out), I think I'll give that a try :) A few times when panhandlers asked me for change (for the bus, for food, for coffee), I gave them a bus pass with one or two rides on it, got them a cup of coffee or a burger from Burger King, etc. I could see by the looks on their faces that this was absolutely not what they wanted. I make it a habit to not have 'cash' money when I go to the store--I carry only by Visa--so I cannot even get a small amount of money--only make a purchase. I don't want to be responsible for feeding anyone's harmful habits.

I've never had a bum talk to me, although people have told me that I talk out of my ar$e sometimes.

well I drive around Chicago a lot, so I see them and will occasional give a dollar or so

A lot, that's why I have to go to indoor malls, otherwise I will be broke and not have purchased a damn thing

I never give money to the homeless directly (church etc.). Also now that it is colder out...they have all gone south.
