I don't think this violates the Community Guidelines. I don't want to get an inferior product or deal with a problematic site. Other than checking out websites with the Better Business Bureau, how else would I learn where to get computer stuff? If this is a violation, it shouldn't be because one of the fantastic aspects of the Yamsters is finding out info from others' experiences. I truly have no idea where to look..I Googled it, but that doesn't weed out the troublesome sites. Is there a site that rates the sellers of this stuff by actual consumers? Whenever I read a review on a shopper comparison site, people are always ranting about the shabby treatmnt and or product they received.

Here are the two best sites for RAM that I know of. I have purchased RAM from both of them with complete satisfaction.

http://www.crucial.com
http://www.4allmemory.com

They both guarantee the RAM they provide to you based upon the info you give them about your pc, or if you use their analysis tool to determine the type of RAM you have.

Check them out. You certainly don't have to buy from them.

Also, be very wary about those "ratings" of internet sites. They aren't necessarily accurate and can be lop-sided ratings simply based on the the sample of people that actually provide a rating. People tend to give good ratings far more frequently that folks that aren't happy.

Hope this helps.
