Did anyone watch the interview with Abo Treika today??
well two days ago i posted a question here on YA! cause i wondered why he wasnt chosen among the three best players of the Fifa world clubs cup here is the link http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Aq7ynI0ViDfSFFQ__J.55DPsy6IX?qid=20061217050750AAoxIHn

Abo Treika told us the story on TV, he said that till the last second he was to take the bronze trophy of best player, the responsibles took him along with EL Khateeb and made him stand in line to recieve the cup, but then they told him "sorry, u wont take it this time and" and kept apologizing !!!! can u believe the humiliation?
i just cant believe this, can u?
in my opinion they chose an international (non-arab) player from Barca (Deco) for other reasons, i mean come on!!! the FIFA is far more professional to change their minds in the LAST SECOND.
what do u think of this? and where the hell is the african association???!!

see Kalooka! this is a real example of discrimination.

ok guys i agree 100% that Abo Treika wont need that, and he is the best player for us, thats for sure, but just because he is humble and extremely decent doesnt make them have the guts to treat him that way, think about it, what if that player was a latino or european??? would they do that to him??
i believe that soccer is the supposed to be based on (skills and goals) its not a beauty contest to be subjective, there are facts here and upon them a judgement should be make, ok so he proved to be an excellent player would it hurt them to give him a bronze? did we reach that level of unfairness???or is it because they are positive we wont do anything about it, cause its too much for us in the first place, to go to japan and win too.

Until now, FIFA will usually stay inclined to European and South American players.

Remember the sums of money spent on betting...and remember how the price of these professional players shall increase.

Although it was discrimination, Abo Trieka doesn't need a trophy to know that he was the best player of the tournament.

Yeah, u've got a point. Descrimination happened in selecting best players...Abou-Trieka is the best in all of our hearts whatever happens...AbouTrieka shot two shots above the defence wall and got them right with "Fan", while Ronaldinho shot inthe final too one shot above the wall and missed ! I think it is clear, opened descrimination.

Actually it doesn't matter, he is the best player ever in our eyes. when i watched him yesterday i couldn't believe how humble, honest, religious, and sweet this person is.

They can discriminate as much as they want, but he will always be the exporter of happiness to the El Ahly, and Egyptian fans :D

GOD bless him.
