Not heard that before. Red wine does contain natural iron which is good for the blood. Just the odd glass not the whole bottle. A glass a day keeps the doctor away :D

The thing is after downing a bottle of red you will have a banging head to go with your sore throat so I would advise against that.
Try warm milk and honey and a hot water bottle for a good nights rest.
And for the sore throat try lozenges

but red wine will only kill parts of the liver, which in tern kill off cells in the brain, make you vomit, feel shite the next day of so. but is sure is good when your drinking it, just stick to only one bottle.

yes the alcohol in wine can kill germs. drinking it won't hurt you, but don't really expect to feel (much) better, either

nope.
You COULD say though, that you feel so manky that you needed relief, your body had to have a break from constantly feeling the pain.
thats what I tell myself anyway. most nights. works everytime.
