I'm full term now and people have told me that at this point the baby's movements usually slow down, possibly as she's getting ready for birth and running out of space. However, I feel like my baby is trying to kick or punch her way out! She wasn't a huge mover before...I always felt little kicks and movements, mostly at night. But now it seems like she's always doing something and I'm constantly seeing my stomach move around where her foot or hand is...it's sometimes painful! I'm not worried...I thank God she's active in there! I'm just wondering if this is normal or (oh, no!) if it means I will be pregnant for longer than I'd hoped and expected. You ladies know how it is....it's getting a bit uncomfortable at this point and I'm ready to get the labor part over with!!!

its normal.. all pregnancies are different. and so are all the shape and size of the fetus. he might move alot because he has extra space. dont worry. if you think there is something seriously wrong (which i dout) go see your doctor :)

LOL!! me and my mom were just having this conversation the other night. i had been telling her *cause this is my first baby* that the baby is trying to find a way out, it looks like shes trying to stand up in there. she stretched out so far the last couple nights...i could've sworn she was gonna pop out...*like that movie aliens* LOL. my mom didnt believe me until last night when she actually saw it happen. yeah those little feet and elbows hands everything hurts. i just made 36 weeks last sunday....and i have been complaining...lol like crazy. my mom is all you should enjoy being pregnant, and im like i know its been years since you had a baby but...umm....how do you enjoy this??? yes thank God your baby is active...but i think mine is doing some construction in there or she found a trampoline. :) i also read the baby will slow down with all the kicking...and you know what. THEY LIED!!! my baby kicks more!! sometimes i dont even think she sleeps. creeeeppyyy. its good though...at first i was worried when she slept, cause i thought she was sleeping too long, and i'd wake her up. now i want her to sleep, sometimes....!!!! lucky for me, she sleeps when i sleep now. :)

love jen.

You feel the baby moving more now because the movements she makes are stronger. I too was afraid my baby was going to come out like the movie Aliens!! I didn't go but a couple days past my due date.

my son did the same thing. He was more active in the last feww weeks. He would move so much and so hard, my whole stomach would move to the side or would move like a wave. It was sooooooo weird.

I think it might just mean she's running out of room, so you feel it more now. If you're still concerned, ask your doctor.
