Your services included, pricing range, what areas you'll travel to, what kinds of pets you'll care for... name and a contact number... what kind of notice you need - like reservations or last minute ok?

having run 2 successful businesses and just starting a third, i have to tell you that the most important thing you can do is make sure you have a small little blurb that says "references available." Especially if you are talking about entering someone's house when they are not home. Make sure the pertinent information is on them; name, number, type of biz. And if you are hanging them up, use the tear-offs with name and numbers. Also, tear off one or 2 to start; people think that, "Oh, this is legit and someone else is using her too." If you are passing them out, you cannot put them on windshields without written permission from the mall or shopping center management. And it is against federal law to put them on, in, or on the post of any mailbox. Newspaper boxes are legal. (Found that out the hard way.) Don't expect a great return on flyers. They are the cheapest form of advertising, and have only a 3% return rate. (Meaning out of 100 flyers, expect only 3 phone calls.) My advice to you is ask at the local pet stores if you can hang a flyer with tear-offs. You'll get more bang for your buck because you are marketing to a specific consumer group. Or lamenated posterboard on telephone poles where people walk their dogs.

If you are going into people's home they will want to know you are trust worthy. References? List any previous experience- like " pet lover -cats, dogs, hamsters- gardening experience, do you clean up after the critters "complete fur person care"
non-smoking / drinking, clean driving record- affordable- day/ week rates
what would you want to know if you were turning over your entire house, belongings, yard, garden and beloved pets to a stranger?
Make up a contract covering everything- keep records- get receipts, keep track of your mileage.
You may want to try working with someone else who is already doing it so you can learn the ropes.

Wording doesn't really matter that much, be sure to have name and contact info. Pictures are the sellers though. Humans react more to pictures than words. (a picture is worth a thousand words)
