well, some people are rude because they hate themselves and the only way they can feel better is by trying to belittle others.

It comes back to them straight away. People react badly to rudeness, and these reactions feed the bitterness that caused the rudeness in the first place, hence making their lives more and more miserable. But good things come back to us, too. Being nice to a rude person usually makes them stop in their tracks, and they respond in a positive or at least neutral manner. Do it enough, and they might just turn around and start getting good karma, which will feed happiness and make them nice. Or something.

People don't belive in Karma because bad things happens to good people. The genoicide of jews in WWII and 9/11 terroist are all bad things...so does that means good people deserve them? People who believe in Karma will explain that victims have bad karma from previous life...

They are rude because they were not brought up properly or they think they are better then you. Maybe someone needs to tell them about Karma.

i doubt if much people would believe in karma. i personally do, but i'm not obsessed by it. people are just rude because they havent got confidence or self esteem so they need to say bad things to others to make them feel like they've got the power so they can feel good about themselves. its annoying, and believe me, i'm sick of the same thing right now.

People think it's funny, or it shows that they are better than somebody else if they can put them down, or they're insecure and have to do something defensive to keep people in check, or they have no social conscience, or they're just stupid. Add to that the fact that just about every TV show glamorizes and encourages people to be rude sarcastic smarta--es, and there you go.

I agree but I feel the reason is the anonymity of the Internet - you can't see them and they can't see you so it is easier to be a jerk or the opposite - very daring. The phenomena of Internet "connection" has left all of us with a duplicitous opportunity - to be ourselves or to let our baser self come out to play - sadly it seems more people choose the later.

Yes. And it is very, very true. Anytime that I have been so mad at me for doing something to me, if I took vengence, I got in trouble but the times that I thought about the Vengence is Mine they ended up getting it back 7 fold.

don't internalize it. have sympathy for them. they might have had a really shitty day, anything could have happened. I know I get like that sometimes, and I just can't seem to help it. though the rest of the time i try really hard to be very polite to people.
