By unique child, I mean the only child in the family, as in no siblings. So then when it's plural you can say unique children and you can still understand it as a group of children that has no siblings. As oppose to the only child and then the plural form being only children, which has a different meaning.

"Unique child" in English suggests something is up with the kid. Possibly mentally challenged or comes up with crazy ideas and such. Sometimes it suggests a high intelligence, mostly it depends on the situation and tone of voice as to what it means.

I guess the only way to say a group of kids with no siblings would be to call them a group of only childs or only children (I'm not sure if the first one is grammatically acceptable, I know the second one is). And maybe hope they understand, and if they don't then to explain in more detail that none of them has any siblings.

No..In English if you have only one child in the family you have a single child or an only child if you have more than one child you have children..

A unique child would mean a child who is very special had special talents or abilities..You are unique (one of a kind) nobody else on the earth like you..

Not really, the phrase "only child" is used to describe children who don't have siblings. I've never heard anyone use the expression "unique child."

It is a rather odd term to use. Most say "only child", as "unique" could be a euphemism for a child with special needs or requirements
