Having unprotected sex at anytime can put you at risk to get pregnant especially when you are ovulating. If I'm not mistaken the best times for you to get pregnant are 14 days before and 14 days after you period, during which at one time, you will ovulate. To increase your chances have sex every other day, and afterwards hold your legs up in the air for 10 minutes with two pillows underneth your hips. Good luck and best wishes!

If you can be pregnant or if you have infertility problems I reccomend to follow this method http://pregnancy.toptips.org
Many factors can cause a couple trouble in conceiving a baby, I'll list a few of the most common ones in women:
Anorexia or other dietary dysfunctions
Lacking amounts of FSH and LH are produced, so ovaries aren't as functional as they could be, and so not many eggs are produced
Stress, causing periods to become irregular
Medications such as cancer treatments, antidepressants, hormone therapy, pain killers, and antipsychotic drugs can all cause temporary infertility.
With the method that I posted above you will be able to get pregnant!

In general women ovulate 14 days after the start of their period. However, some women ovulate twice a month, some women don't ovulate at all, some women don't ovulate 14 days after, so yes you could get pregnant 9 days before.

Infertility can be caused by a huge number of factors: hormone imbalance, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Endometriosis, Anovulatory Cycles, physical blockage, inadequate hormone production, short luteal phase, lack of lutenizing hormone, high levels or prolactin, and many others. How to get pregnant https://tr.im/urzCs
Poor nutrition often plays a major role, as does exposure to toxins. Age plays less of a role before menopause than was originally thought. While there are many wonderful naturally minded fertility specialists out there, in many cases it is not possible for them to test for and address any of these possible underlying issues.

What, in all your infinite lack of wisdom, would make you even consider that you couldnt get pregnant nine days before your period?
You can get pregnant while ON your period. I did. Some women do.
Penis in, baby out. Its not rocket science.
