I don't have it any more, but try focusing on what skills and personal qualities you bring which make you suitable for midwifery. As a student midwife, you will need to be able to:

- Listen and be emotionally supportive
- Provide information and help people make decisions without bringing your own opinions into the discussion
- Build a rapport with people you have only just met
- Interact well with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures
- Keep calm and act rationally in a crisis
- Juggle tasks and prioritise what is most important
- Deal with people who are emotionally distressed as well as people in physical pain
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with doctors, midwives of other grades, neonatal nurses, social workers, etc
- Adhere to a code of professional ethics

etc etc!

What work and life experiences do you have that can demonstrate your qualities and abilities in this area? Skills as apparently simple as being able to listen to a friend in crisis in a non-judgemental way may by just as important as relevant work experience.

Good luck with your application!

I am not studying midwifery but I am one of those babies who was born with the help of my two grand'mothers and I turned out to be a healthy baby after all. In those days babies were born at home and not at a hospital. Most of the time, the doctor came when the " job" had been done! LOL.

I can't remember the day of course, but I do remember the day my youngest sister was born at home... And hearing her first cry !... They didn't let a 5 year old boy in the room of course, but what a great joy it was the minute I saw my baby sister for the first time! That was 61 years ago and I still remember!. This is probably not what you were expecting as an answer but I thought I would share this wonderful experience with you..
I hope this will give you an idea of how precious midwifery is !
