You are too narrowly focused, the whole point is ALL POLITICIANS have lifetime benefits paid for by the taxpayers, this is why they havn't a clue about the problem, and it's an example of a question I asked on TERM LIMITS, if it might get people who understand the plight of the ordainary citizen in this country into office wher ethey can do something about OUR problems, not just THEIR problems. Sort of like we supply their transportation, and their tax return accountants, how can they udnerstand a tax code if they don't have to file or pay someone else to do their own? Or how much finding a place to live or purchasing a car really takes to finance these days? Maybe their homes should be confiscated by local governments and handed over to developers, then they might appreciate what happens to the "little guy" in this country. I believe TERM LIMITS will, if nothing else, distribute the wealth amongst a different bunch of theives every now and then.

Health is a privilege, not a right. People are born all the time with health problems, where is their right? How can something be a right, if we are not all able to have it?

Where was the "right" to health for the last 10,000 years of human history before we invented modern medicine?

If there are 10 sick people, and 1 doctor, who has a right to be treated? If there are 10 sick people and 0 doctors, who will fulfill their "right".

The idea that good health or health care is a right is asinine.

People like you should just be thankfull that you live in modern times where there is any kind of medicine available at all. Be thankfull you live in a country where you can walk into any hospital and get treated whether you have insurance or not.

Quit your bitching, and stop thinking the world owes you everything on a silver platter. If you want something, go out and earn it.

You might just have to find a better job.

Who controls you getting a "good job"? It's you. If you want health insurance then move to a company that has an insurance plan. Not many companies give it away for free so you might have to pay anyway. If you don't have the skills or education to obtain another job then that is your fault.

Is health a human right, or a luxury for the rich? Who should pay for my healthcare? Me! I am responsible for me! I am far from rich, or what I would consider rich. Why should someone else be forced to pay for your healthcare. Get off your @ss and earn it!

If we make health a right does that mean we can start banning things that are hazardous to your health?

I mean why should I pay for someone that spent their whole life gaining 300 pounds?

It is for those of us that take personal responsibility and make our own lives better rather than expect the government to support us.

Declaring health to be a human right is akin to declaring that doctors and nurses can be forced to treat you for free, or somone else can be forced to pay for your medical care. Your existence entitles you to pursue whatever you desire as an individual, but your rights stop where mine begin. There is no such thing as a socialist utopia.
