I have several faves. Ride, Option, Technine are at the top, for sure. Lib-Tech, Gnu, and NeverSummer deserve to be mentioned.
I absolutely HATE Burton. It is the most over-rated, over-priced, company in snowboarding ever. They put more money into advertising, marketing, and other nonsense when they SHOULD be putting it into Research & Development. The only reason everyone loves Burton is 'cause everyone's heard of them. Everyone's heard of them 'cause they're so HUGE and make insane amounts of money to sponsor riders like Shaun White and Jeremy Jones. It's effing ridiculous. They should put that money into R&D instead. Then at least their products would be worth the steep prices.

I've ridden Morrow, Liquid, Neversummer, K2, Rossignol, Evol, Palmer, and Burton. I have to say I don't think it matters as much as everyone thinks what you ride. There may be nuances to certain companies, but there aren't many people putting out garbage. But I will say when I hit a tree and broke my snowboard in half 3 months after the warranty expired, I called Burton and though they weren't able to give me a free board they sold me a board with a small imperfection on it for $100. The imperfection ended up being a scratch near the edge that was less than 1/2 cm long. So whether they make the best boards is up for debate but I appreciated the customer service.

Personally I like Burton, I've ridden K2, Ride, Tech Nine, Atomic, Lamar, Illuminati and Head. All have decent boards, but Burton seems to come out with the newest technology first, making for a more comfortable ride, with better snap for my trick style riding. And don't let anyone tell you Burton are for poseurs... what a joke... Shaun White... currently the best snowboarder in the world has ridden with Burton... don't think he's a poseur. But burtons have always done me well... and like above said... great customer service.

I don't think you can really go wrong with Burton or Ride since they put millions of dollars into making and selling their boards. Personally I am increasingly impressed with some of the smaller shops out there.
I bought a T.Rice from Lib-Tech this season and before even riding it I was pretty impressed by the clear level or craftsmanship they put into the board. Not to mention how awesome the board ridesI. 've heard the same for companies like Arbor.
Another advantage is that your board won't look just like everyone else's on the mountain.

I've ridden Ride, K2, and Burton. The K2 boards were really nice and would recommend them to anyone. I'm on my first Burton this year, so it's too early to say if it's good or not.
The K2s usually have wicked designs which is why I usually like them more. However, the 2007 Burtons had pretty cool graphics which is why I made the switch.

for my area, and that i'm useful maximum people who understand lots approximately snowboard bindings might agree, Union makes the suitable bindings on the industry. they are the lightest and maximum helpful and value in regards to the comparable as different manufacturers. Their new park bindings, the Union touch specialists are super ill with lots technologies and customization! The Union Forces are the suitable all-mountain bindings i will think of of that are stiffer than the touch specialists. relatively despite product you purchase from Union, you will adore! Even their maximum inexpensive bindings are geared up good sufficient for the main more advantageous riders!

I prefer Burton, but I hear good things from K2 (although I've never personally tried - they do have some killer designs though!). I've ridden some other boards, but Burton has fit me best.
