Santa is real if you believe.
Most individuals age 1-6 believe. With others it is less common to believe.
To the majority of us, we can either perpetuate the concept of Santa, or we can be an Uncle Scrooge and mess up Christmas for all the little ones.

Santa Claus is an example of folklore mythology which adults know is fiction, but which is sometimes presented to children as fact. Other prominent examples are the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny. He now forms an important part of the Christmas tradition throughout the Western world and Japan and other parts of East Asia.

Yes Santa is real but he lives most of the time in your heart. If you allow him to come out and be with you more often then you are sure of it.

Santa is as real to those who believe in him and what he represents. He represents not just a jolly old guys that beings the presents to good girls and boys, but he is a giver and not just and receiver of good things and feelings. It is the best time to teach your children about giving this time of year.
I have had to answer this question for half my girls and those that do not have the scientific evidence of his existence still believe in him because that is what the holiday spirit is all about for them.
