More traffic, putting up scads of decorations, spending hundreds of dollars on gifts, moody customers that are sick of shopping (if you are in retail), long lines, no parking....
I think you are justified! lol...

I can't think right now of who did the study, but it showed because of the time change and the darkness of the day, some people are emotionally and physically affected by the winter change of season. This time of year is colder and darker and some how it causes psychological changes in the body. I believe if we put our minds to it, we can overcome some of the changes our bodies go through: ie. fat in winter because we eat too much because it is the holiday season; skinny in summer because it is vacation time and we have to look cute in our bathing suits; clean our closets in spring because we are tired of wearing the same old things; and emotional in fall because the leaves are falling and everything is changing colors, plus that means another year is almost over and we have not done anything with the year. Try going to a herb shop and read up on royal jelly and bee pollen. They are listed as good for boosting your energy and helping your immune system which is taxed in winter because of the change in weather. When you begin to feel down call up a friend and go to a fun place.

Christmas takes alot out of a person! You not only sit and worry aboput what to get who and then u are juggling bills around so u can afford it all. Then theres pushing your way thru the stores and crowds thru rude people who r just hateful as all get out! Then u get home and get all wrapped and u think u did great until Xmas morning when they open everything and your kid looks at u like " is that all there is" We spend 6 months preparing for Xmas and its all over in 20 minutes! Its normal to be moody!

One reason is the shortened daylight hours we experience that time of year. It plays on your chemistry. Otherwise you can become stressed from increased obligations (gifts, parties to host/attend, decorations to put up, other events to attend, budgets being pushed to the limit). All this drains the body and the soul. Generally we aren't getting enough positive exercise in either - just rushing around. Its no wonder it is such a relief when its all done.

It's stressful! You have deadlines and money you have to spend and family members you don't feel like seeing let alone dealing with. And it seems like everywhere you go it's hetic! And if you coose to their decorations and stuff to put up or people to cater to, it's alot of work! Either way though I still have to say that I still enjoy it.

Maybe you have Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) that causes you to become depressed at certain times of the year.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seasonal_affective_disorder
You could take anti-depressants, but I don't recommend that. Try to get more sunlight and exercise.
