It does depend on the last name.
Jo is always a good middle name and goes with most last names.
Names ending in ann are too.
Generally with names you want to avoid same syllables, since Amanda is three, most people would thing a one or two syllable middle would ring best

Therefore choose something you like to hear and want her called in case she later uses her middle. For instance you may or may not want her called Jo, etc.
