it takes a real man to feel responsible for his children...way to step it up. this becomes a question only you can answer...can you make it work or are there only 2 options: kids or money? which is more important to you>? you said the girs, so will this be temporary or permanant..if temp then it might work for a while, but if permanent, it could damage your relationship. good luck and just be careful...broken relationships are hard to fix.

It is not easy the way things are today to do both. If you need to find a job with better pay, you sometimes end up moving away to achieve that. Are your girls old enough to fly out to see you yet or are they too young for that? Can they, if their mother is willing, meet you half way to swap off so you can see them more often. This is a hard decision to make for anyone but try all options to keep in contact with them. Maybe getting them a computer that you can talk via video with them to ease the pain of not physically being with them is something worth trying. You seem like you are in a bind here and I wish you all the luck with any decision you make. If you call and send cards, etc. you should be ok if their mother helps you with this.

is there any thing in your life that you could give up or scale down in order to help close the gap btw what you need & what you make? i.e., cable tv, private school, cheaper car insurance, a cheaper car, no car, etc. thank God that you want to do right by your kids. but if you can cut back & hang in there for a better job locally or a job where you can move the whole family, the girls will be better off for having their dad around. good luck.

Have you considered down grading your style of living.
Smaller house, cheaper car, cheaper cable service, 60 watt light bulbs instead of 100 watt, etc.
Whatever you can do so that moving is not needed.

Maybe a night time job delivering pizza M-F to help supplement your day job.

What does "They are my life." really mean?
