More than once I've thought of something funny when I'm walking alone down a street, or I'm at some solemn function or other, and I can't quite stop myself from laughing. Though I think I get in the most trouble for laughing when things go wrong.

I needed a max unit (it's a hand-held computer thingy you scan barcodes with) at work the other day to get my job done. Two were taken, one was broken and one was missing. The check-out manager said she didn't have one, then about ten minutes later, one of the check-out girls said, 'oh, here it is. It's been beside me all along, and I didn't realise'. I laughed, and my manager cracked a bit of a spaz at me for it.

But really, I'm so used to things going wrong (like when I dumped my ex, then I ran out of money, I got a parking fine, my grades at uni started slipping, and then my car got stolen), that I just laugh at it. After all, it's better than crying or going off at the people around you, like most people do. Are there others like me?

I can so relate, I have the worst luck and a different sense of humor so I laugh at things others wouldn't find funny and I laugh at comments I make in my head. That made me laugh just now.

Sure, I think most people do at some point. Sometimes its a nervous reaction, sometimes you honestly feel its a hoot even when its not p.c. Hubby and I have a warped sense of humour and we can chuckle at a lot of oddball stuff. If you have a creative mind and a love of words, some things just cry out for a laugh, twisted or not.

Laughing at things going wrong is a good destresser as long as you aren't ignoring the fact that a problem exists(existed) and may need fixing.

The other day I picked up some milk at our local Royal Farms gas station/mini mart. When I opened the door to the fridge it mooed. I busted up out loud. Reacting to intentional silly is good for the soul.

I usually find the humor in the wrong situations as well. I heard a joke that no one seemed to find amusing it was about a girl who had been dating this guy for like 5 years and he asked her what she was doing that night and then it progressed into a long ordeal and she was waiting for the proposal. He takes her to dinner and then to a spot that over looks the city and says what are you doing for the rest of your life he blind folds her and...pushes her off the cliff. It is the worst/meanest joke ever I think it is the funniest thing ever because it is random. I laugh at things all the time that are just wrong. I get looks all the time because I walk down the street or hall and just start laughing to myself. I just feel like everyone is watching me and condemning me because I do it too!

Laughing at inappropriate moments is the best....cuz you make light of the situation. I have been in situations where there is nothing else to keep me going except laughing at myself. Like when I had to walk over 20 miles cuz my ex ran from the cops and they repo'd the car...( i was innocent) and it was 4 in the morning that was great. But i think its the best to laugh when someone gets hurt esp if its yourself (not seriously) and its totally unexpected for someone to laugh...this is making me laugh just thinking about it. I cant help it sometimes

I USE TO DO THAT SOME TIME AGO ...... I FOUND OUT THAT I WOULD LAUGH INSTEAD OF CRY, I WAS AFRAID OF SHOWING MY TRUE FEELINGS AND I DIDNT KNOW WHEN TO STOP DOING IT SINCE IT WAS DEFENSE..... I JUST TRY TO MAKE LIGHT OF THINGS NOW OR TRY TO HELP OTHERS BY A SILLY STORIE OR COMMENT... I MAY NOT LAUGH OUT LOAD NOW BUT I TRY TO LOOK AT THE GOOD SIDE OF WHATEVER IS HAPPEN

I think that just shows that you got a positive attitude towards life, even on it's worst moments. It isn't your fault if some people are bitter and sour. Your positive outlook probably makes your problems look easier to solve. Don't change your ways just because of some people's bitterness... Let their own bitterness get to them and not get to you...

Sometimes in life, laughter is good. I believe often. I laugh at things like you sometimes because 'what else is there to do?'. But, you can pis- some off with this. Change accordingly.

I laugh at myself when i do somthing stupid, and its good to laugh at yourself once in a while, it shows that ur laid back. Unfortanetly i have temper so i somtimes lashout at people, so i need to change that. I think ur pretty laid back, and thats pretty cool.
