No Santa is not real. Santa is a figment of a child's imagination. Parents plant it in their kids' heads when they are younger to help them, or better yet make them go to sleep at night. Santa is a good bedtime story. When you get older your parents usually tell you that Santa is not real and that they have been giving you your gifts all your life. That's if you don't figure that out when your younger. I for one figured it out at the age of five. A a so-called santa came to my school. Now everybody knows that santa is only suppose to show up on Christmas. Nevermind the fact that he came during the day. But anyways, then there was also this one night that i was very disappointed. I waited and i waited to hear the reindeer on the roof, and to see Santa find some way into my house since i didn't have a chimney. I was hiding behind the couch, and i saw my mama and daddy putting presents under the tree. That's when i realized that santa was not real at all, and that my parents had always got the gifts for me. However, this doesn't mean that you go around telling the little kids that santa is not real. Let them believe it until they are about six, or seven. Somewhere around that age, they will be able to understand. At least they should be able understand. I mean have you ever wondered why there was already presents under the tree before Christmas??? Think about that for a minute. If santa was suppose to deliver all the toys to the good little boys and girls on Christmas Eve, why did you have presents before than??? And i really don't think that your parents EVER put coal in your stocking when you were bad all year long. IF they did, then they were just wrong. But anyways, my point is, no santa is not real. He is something that kids are made to believe while they are little, to keep them happy and give them a reason to actually try and be good. And I am serious. Hopefully, I answered your question. If I didn't, GOOD LUCK!!!! HAVE A NICE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, he is very real to people that care about others, besides their own selves. Here what I wrote to the question; "Where does Santa Live"?
I guess he live in the hearts and traditions of those who enjoy the work that Saint Nicolas started for needy children. A lot of Santas today and they live all over the world. So, it may be a hot or cold place. Depends where the person live. I laugh and say I am a Santa, I even grow my beard in winter for the children. But, I enjoy buying gifts for the Salvation Army and Toys-for-Tots. I not make a big impact on the need, but, do my part to give a child a nice present or Bicycle for Christmas. It fun, try being a Santa one year, if you have a good heart, I promise you become a Santa the rest of your life! ;-)
I see by dbytz's comment, he off to the right start and going to have a blast in life.

I could be wrong but this is what i think so don't be upset with what i might say! Santa clause as a person? No! Santa clause as a feeling and thought? YES!! He may not be a real person who brings gifts but he was made to show people the true meaning of Christmas (besides Jesus' day of birth if your religious) He shows people that giving and caring for others is the most valued thing! He reminds people not to be greedy and for just ONE day put aside their selflessness and witness the wonderful feeling of being with your love ones and showing them just how much they mean to you by giving them gifts (which don't include something you have to buy). Santa may not be real but he is as real as real can be to me, and he will be forever in my heart!
If you wanna believe in Santa you keep believing don't listen to those mean people who say thing like get a life. If you do listen to them that makes tons of people who have no life he he! Merry Christmas!!!

Was. Seriously.

You should likely do a search for a "Kris Kringle" though instead of Santa, because that is more likely to hit the historical sites. But yes, there was a "Kris Kringle" or Father Christmas, dating back to the days of the Holy Roman Empire (think "Charlemagne"), he was either a monk or a minor lord of some sort (depending on the historical source you check) living in what's now Denmark (historical records suggest he's Danish) who had a habit of giving out gifts to good children and lumps of coal to the bad ones--which, if you consider the nature of the times, and how *cold* winters could get, was not such a bad deal even for a "bad kid". :)

So yeah, there was a historical person who likely inspired the mostly English Father Christmas/Santa Claus mythology. :) But the odds of his still being alive and all...not so good. Sorry.

Hope this helps. :)

Santa is real, I promise, OK maybe the image of the guy with the beard and the flying reindeer isn't exactly the whole story but yes, santa is real.
