My daughter got her first tooth at about 8 weeks, she is 16 months and already has her molars. Every child develops differently (if you are breastfeeding just be careful :-)).

As others have said not only is it normal to start teething that young but some children are born with teeth. (The wivestale is that if your child is born with teeth, he/she will be selfish.) You said she's getting her first tooth. Do you actually see it? My daughter started teething at about six weeks and didn't get her first tooth untill she was 9 months. She was a drooling mess for 7 1/2 months.

I know a lady who's baby was born with two teeth. She herself was also born with two teeh (or so her mom told her).
Is the tooth cutting through the gum already? My ds started teething at 2.5 mo but didn't acutally cut any teeth until 8 mo.
