Put a bowl of ammonia inside your oven and let it set over night. In the morning get a green scrubbie and with a little elbow grease it should come off nicely and you will have a clean oven!!

I paid a professional to come and clean my double oven a couple of months ago. He took all the wire racks out into his van and soaked them in a tub of solution - what, I don't know but it did the trick. But I can get the wire racks just as clean myself with Mr Muscle or Brillo pads.
The actual ovens though......he painted on a clear gel with a paintbrush, left it for 20 mins then simply washed it all off. The ovens looked as good as new, including the lights in them. I asked him what the cleaner was and he said it was a trade secret. A few days later I was in Lakeland and lo and behold, they sell a clear gel thick liquid that you apply with a paintbrush and leave for a while before washing off. The price was £7.99 I think.....so it might be worth trying that first. I certainly will next time rather than get the pro in (my oven was SOO bad it I thought I needed a pro) but I wouldn't be surprised if the Lakeland stuff was the same. OH and by the way, it was non-toxic, not dangerous to the skin, didn't smell and you could use the oven immediately afterwards without any smoke or smell.
Good luck....

No, Your safe using oven cleaner on it. Theres no difference between the surfaces of an oven with self- clean and one without The only thing that makes an oven self-clean is that both elements come on, making it literally "hotter than hell" and creamating any gunk in there. It will still leave some residue behind. Thats where your oven cleaner comes in.

Fairy power spray is great for taking the burnt, greasy marks off the inside of the oven door. Just leave it on for a few mins and then rub with a nylon scouring sponge and wipe off with a damp cloth - easy peasy !!!

Fairy Power Spray is really good.
Spray it on,and leave overnight if possible, then give the oven a really good scrub with a sponge.
The only disadvantage with it is the slight remaining fragrance from the spray. But if it's thoroughly cleaned with clean water,it should be OK.

Easy off oven cleaner is the best. You just spray it in there, leave it over night and in the morning you wipe it all off. Trust me, this works on anything. I have really made a mess of my oven and it works like magic!

easy off is the best. the oven that was in my house was all stained up from the previous owners. it looked awful. i used that easy off oven cleaner and it was gone...it has a strong smell at first so when you use it keep some windows open and let the place air out.

I hate oven cleaning and to be fair, I am useless at it!!! i am kind of embarrassed to say but i pay a professional oven cleaning company every year to do mine. it looks like a oven from a showroom after. it's worth thinking about if you are useless at cleaning like me!!
