Nothing "happened" to Depeche Mode. They are still around now. One member left, one member left and became half of Yazoo,then half of Erasure, dave gahan got into drugs a bit, think hes been married twice, at least once anyway. Marilyn Manson and various other groups have covered Personal Jesus, Lacuna Coil did a good version of it. Dave did a solo album called Paper Tigers which is quite good

They're still together. They released an album last year by the name of "Playing the Angel" and they started touring for the album soon after, even releasing a tour DVD this year. They've recently been nominated for a Grammy.

They're still going strong. In fact, they headlined the Coachella Festival (one of the lasrgest concerts in the world) this past Spring. Their most recent CD is only a year old. They're still here!

Where the hell have you been? They released a new record earlier this year. They've released live dvd's this year, a recent single "Martyr" only a couple of months ago, and a greatest hits last month, and you asking what's happened to them????

livin' off the royalties from "personal jesus"! ;-) did you know it's been recorded by half a dozen different artists?
although nothing has topped the popularity of violator, they're still recording and touring!
