I think John Madden should be on the cover because everyone who is on the cover always gets hurt. So i think John Madden would be a safe choice :)

That's an interesting question. I think ESPN will be on the cover. Only because, I think players will decline the offer because of the famed " Madden Curse". Also, EA Sports bought the right to use ESPN as of 2007, and EA's contract with John Madden also ends at the same time. So, who knows. John Madden might not even be used anymore because he's with NBC. So, next year don't look for Madden '08.
Instead look for: "NFL '08 Presented by ESPN"

Im going to go ahead and say that I think Frank Gore will make it on the cover next year all though I hope he doesent do to the Madden Curse but I mean hell the kids a Rookie and is a runner up for MVP that says something there.

Whoever makes the cover will end up hurt the next season. Its the curse of Madden, every player to be on the cover of Madden gets hurt or has the worst season of their career.
So hopefully its Peyton Manning. hehehe

They usually put a player at the position where they are introducing something new. 07 was Alexander for the run blocking. 06 McNabb for the QB vision. 05 was Ray lewis for something I think? So Whatever improvement they make in 08 would be the position they would put on the cover. LT probably, maybe come out with new trick plays like HB TD throws.

No one from my team please....i think they need to leave the cover alone and stick the NFL logo and the ball on there...im tired of seeing stars fall to the damn madden curse...and hopefully not madden...maybe jus the 5 baddest cheerleaders in the league...we the public should vote who goes on the cover

I think it should be Brett Favre as a sort of farewell gesture since next season is likely to be Favre's last and since Madden loves Favre more then a stack of Outback's Blooming Onions and a bucket of Tough-Actin Tenactin.
