No is not fair for the other person who wants to get married.

Depending on what you mean by your question. "Waiting for marriage" as in they were already engaged to someone else? No, I would not consider getting into a relationship with someone who's already "taken". Or, "waiting for marriage" in the more general sense of being marriage-minded? Yes; I don't have anything against marriage-minded people. Before we met each other, both my husband and I had been looking to start a family; so, our goals converged - now, we're married.

Some people take the approach that, "Hey, I wouldn't buy a car without test-driving it first, so . . ." On the other hand, other people understand that the physical aspect of the relationship, while vitally important, is something that can be developed post-marriage.

In short, it depends on you, your religious/moral beliefs, your desires, and whether you think this person is *truly* worth waiting for. If you love each other, and if the more "experienced" person is patient and understanding, there is no reason why a successful relationship could not prosper.

Sex? Yes, of course. My husband was waiting for marriage to have sex.

Marriage in general? Yes, if I was interested in getting married too. If I wasn't interested in marriage then I would politely decline a relationship with that person as it is unfair to lead a person on.

If you know this person is waiting to get married and you are not, why would you even consider it? Think about it. Don't waste her time if you are not worried. She may be able to find someone who wants the same as she.

What does waiting for marriage mean? My interpretation would be that they are not having sex until they're married. In that case, if I understood it and was willing to go that route, why not. To each his own ... or her own.

Not unless you wanted the same thing, other wise you are misleading the person, which is dishonest, which is no way to start a relationship.
