I'm 16 and i have no guy friends AT ALL most probably because i don't go to church ( don't ask me to go) and I am studying in an all-girls school. I live alone and I feel like having a boyfriend to care for me. can u please give me as many ideas as possible? I don't want to turn into a lesbian and i don't wanna go for matchmaking stuff ( thanks!) ...and... randomly checking out a stranger is weird & uneasy for anyone isin't it?

First off at 16 you don't need a boyfriend.

You should enjoy times with the girls at your school. I'm not saying go lesbian, I'm just saying that you can have a close relationship with another girl without being sexually active. Those friendships will last your lifetime.

If you still want a boyfriend then find something you like to do, I'm not sure how church has anything to do with it, but it's the same concept. People gathering on common ground. It is a great way to meet people although I don't think God would want us considering church a meat market.

Find a local hangout (barns and noble) and see who shows up. Oh and if you really, really want a boyfriend then you're going to have to step out of your shell!! Match.com

Good luck!!!

First of all, you don't suddenly turn Gay just because you're always around members of your own sex. If you were a lesbian, you'd already know it by now.
Second, it sound like you're seeking more of a father figure ("to care for me") than you are a true boyfriend. And randomly checking out strangers is done by everyone, both men and women. There's nothing wrong with giving a good looking person (in your case, guy) the once over if you want to.
But you're prime fodder for a male con artist; one of those who'll take you for everything you've got. Be careful.

Have you considered learning to be satisfied as a single? I know this sounds totally archaic, but you really do have the rest of your life to spend with a guy.

I felt the same way when I was 16. I finally let go of wanting a boyfriend. Instead of focusing on how I didn't have a guy in my life, I wrote a list of the qualities I thought I would like in my future husband.... Things like thoughtful, gentle, and silly things like, tall, light brown hair, blue eyes, musician... Two years later I met him and we've been married for seven years!

Relax. You don't turn gay or lesbian, you are born that way. Get your female friends and go shopping and to the movies. Single guys hunt single chicks in packs so your bound to find them at the mall or the show.

Not going to Church have nothing to do with you not getting a boyfriend.Try to be nice with a few nice boys near your area when you come back for holidays and start from there.
