Moving when you are single or just a couple, especially within the same town is fairly simple. My wife and I moved several times when we were renting and it was fairly painless. Last year, however, we had a different situation. We moved to another state, we bought a new house and sold the other, and we have children and lots of pets. It took a long time and was very difficult, especially since we decided to fix up the house really nicely before we sold it to get more money. It was so much work... Oh-my-God. But in the end it was totally worth it. We got more for the house than any other house in that neighborhood had ever sold for. We are happy as clams in our new house and new state too. Still, I do not want to move like that again, it was so hard!

O yes we have moved 8 times in the last 17 years, always find it very stressful, we moved once & got there 9 hours before the van turned up, they arrived at the address at 10 past midnight !!!! the neighbours had lent us blow up beds, cushions, we had to give them back so we could bring our furniture in, we finished at 2am. it was a complete nightmare, then when I went through our stuff, some was broken, some was missing, some were not even OUR'S !!??
