If a house does not have a chimney, then Santa uses some of his magic dust to make a chimney appear. Then the chimney disappears as soon as Santa leaves.

We tell our childen (as we were told) that Santa "makes" a chimney in all the houses that don't have one. My aunt used to tell her kids that he had a magic key but then the Santa Claus movie came out and the kids went nuts because Santa lands on the roof and could fall and die taking gifts from the roof to the house. She changed her story to the same one we were told.

do you have a heater?
then this is how.
I grew up quite happily believeing santa came through the vents on the gas fire. He can squeeze right down in size like a mouse ya know. He is santa after all.
I also believe he has elves and helpers to do some of his dirty work too. Such as meeting children in MANY department stores, all at the same time, and maybe also squeezing into electrical work top heaters.

santa can always find a way in! He is magic....my 5 year old asked the same thing, because my boyfriend doesn't have a chimney. I told her he can always find a way.. Besides, he has to shrink himself a little anyway to fit thru the chimney!

You can actually buy a special key from some shops for kids. It says a magic key for people who have no chimney. I thought it was a cool idea.

Had the same problem when we Lived in a flat, we left the key out for Santa and he was able to leave the pressies in the hall, and do you know what , the bugger drank all my brandy and the reindeer ate all the kids biscuits, much to their amusement. Wonderful times, and now the `kids` do the same.

Tell him that he will be able to open the door with a magic key... it opens every door where there are no chimneys.... He is a very trustworthy man and will relock the doors after he has been.
