Your question is not definitive enough. If you like books with storylines based on the use of magic, try books by Trudi Canavan or Andre Norton or even Dennis McKiernan and David Drake. But if you mean magic like Harry Houdini you will have to go to the library for that info or sign on to the Library of Congress' website at: loc.gov and ask your question of the Librarian.
