I had a job loss a few years back, and still recovering from that, also, I didn't make the wisest choices with money and I was forced to file bankruptcy. I am finally filing this week and I have to admit I am nervous. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, yet the end (the meeting and actual discharge) seem so far away. I am nervous because I don't know what expect in the future. I just wanted other peoples experience.

There is nothing to fear about bankruptcy. The courts and legal assistance look at it as business as usual.

The only people who should have gut wrenching fear are those who were dishonest about their filing. They will find out in the hearing with all the other filers listening if anyone raises a question about fraud. In other words "legally contests" the filing.

Does this help any?
