I think she should have lost her crown/title. The people who are involved in these Miss America pageants try to convince us that these women are not crowned only because of their physical beauty but also because of the type of person they are and the kind of positive role model they will be to young girls. If this is the case then I'd like to know how drinking underage and excessive partying is considered to be positive role model behaviour. I mean she was breaking the laws of underage drinking. That shouldn't be tolerated especially when I'm sure they have a competent first runner up that would hopefully show a little more class and integrity as Miss America.

That shi*t with Vanessa Williams was back in 1984. Things that wasn't tolerated then, are tolerated now. I know that V. Williams should not have lose her crown either, but times has change. I don't think Donald was had nothing to do with Miss America. Alot has to do with race, because if it was a black woman doing what Tara did, then she probably would not have been given a second chance. I can't say that Donald trump is racist, but I think it still would of been a little different. It's ashame but, at least Vanessa Williams always has been and always will be the most famous Miss America ever and no one can take that away from her. After a year you don't even here of the rest of these broads. So, time goes by fast and April will come soon, they will crown another miss usa, and the only thing you here about tara is her scandalous reputation.

Yes. There is no excuse in the world to try to hide what she did. It's the most disrespectful thing she could have ever done while being Miss America and Donald only gave her a second chance so when he needs a new wife, he'll have an option! She's an ugly alcoholic anyway and I wish her the worst luck possible.

Yes, I thought she needed to be dethroned. What does a girl have to do to get dethroned nowadays? I understand that times have changed but the ideas of what Miss America should stand for haven't. I know people make mistakes but she was given such a huge opportunity to do succeed and she failed miserably. She doesn't deserve the title and I'm sure she's lost the respect of a lot of people.

It certainly does seem fair to Vanessa Williams. Maybe if she had a drink underage, or sneaking into a 21+ club I would understand. But doing cocaine and making out with Ms. Teen USA!! What was she thinking!! She def should have been dethroned!

YES! Rules are rules. Ugh - this is exactly what I was referring to in another post - so many young people don't know anything about taking responsiblity for their actions. Shame on the Donald for just shaking his fist at her and being an enabler.

Yep. No excuse for that crap. Besides being dethroned was the best thing that ever happened to Vanessa Williams.

Yes she should have been dethroned. She is suppose to be a representative of her state and country and to embarrass herself and her state that way is unacceptable for a Miss America winner!

If the decision was mine to make, I would have replaced her, but I give Donald Trump a lot of credit for seeing her as young girl from Kentucky who was drawn to the bright lights of NYC and all it has to offer, and then giving her a second chance. Kudos to The Donald.
