A wise man once said "Be careful of the shoes you step on today, they may be attached to the butt you may have to kiss tomorrow" You know the answer to this already but remember the new guy won't always be new and one day he could be the boss with a very good memory.

It would be best to live up to your mistake, you shouldn't think twice about doing whats honest and ethically correct. Letting the new guy get in trouble is definitly the wrong thing to do, and I highly doubt he wants to be held responsible for that. I urge you to do whats right, Im sure you can work something out with your boss / employeer.

ok, let's suppose you let the new guy take the rap...wouldn't you always wonder in the back of your mind if someone would find out the truth and then you'd be labeled a liar as well as having to own up to the breakage. If you think no one can ever find out, there's no such thing as the perfect lie.

you need to stick on your individual heart on that i are conscious of it particularly is confusing and you do no longer opt to be harm, yet on the comparable time you opt to do what's suitable. I went by using that with a guy who pulled quite plenty the comparable subject the place he could question me out and in no way instruct and blah blah blah, he wasn't properly worth my time so I purely end accepting his invites. i substitute into polite to him once I observed him yet that substitute into approximately it. I quickly found out that he had a woman on the hook once I end accepting his invites I felt greater suited and felt the opt to easily pass on

Own up to it, obviously it wasn't intentional. You won't be able to live with yourself if you blame the new guy, otherwise, you wouldn't be asking for advice, right? Good luck!
