You should probably go with Happy Holidays or Wishing you Peace and Happiness in the New Year.

Merry Christmas leaves out anyone who celebrate Hannukah, Kwanza, or is generally non-Christian.

Happy Holiday Season to you too!

I would say:

Thank you for your friendship and support throughout the year.

You can also add in your native language:

"Wishing you and your family happiness, peace, and prosperity
throughout the New Year" with the English translation underneath.

then close with:

Merry Christmas and Happy 2007!

If you want to add a colorful picture or graphic, someone emailed me "Christmas Blessings 2005" . pps that had Christmas pictures set to Karen Carpenter singing Christmas songs.
