They are no where close to the Yankees budget thats for sure. If i had to estimate i would say they have about 150m a year.

I think that depends on whether the posting fee is counting with their payroll. If it is, they're right up there with the Yankees. If not, it's still going to be at least a $50-70 million difference, in the $150 million range. Last year, it was the Yankees in first at $199 million, and the Red Sox next at $120 million.

Every year it seems to go up. That is why they raise ticket prices. As long as the managment gets what we need like pitching and outfeilding than we are good. When they sign someone for a 5 year deal they don't pay it all at once so it is in a budget for 5 years. Hope it helped.

I think the Sox pockets are just about empty now. With the payroll at about 150 mil now, I don't see it getting much higher. So don't expect a big name high-priced closer by Spring Training.
Gawd we might be stuck with Kyle Snyder as closer. Grrrr.
