I know they give you a USB Charger to connect to your computer, but what if you are somewhere that doesn't have a computer? They try to sell you an adapter for $35, which is criminal.

Here is why. An adapter costs another xx dollars to manufacture. The company has to add that price into the cost of the player if they are going to include it, or there is no profit. Remember, your average NON iPod player only makes the company who sells it about $4-9 dollars. iPods are all about profit. Usually over $100 per unit back to Apple. It's all about volume. 100,000 players sold at $9 profit. $900K. If they include the adapter, the price of their product is no longer competitive with everyone else. Also, the retailer may demand the company supply them a product under a certain amount. If you want to blame someone, blame the 1000 pound gorilla retailers out there. You know who they are.... cough -Mart cough

No, they're in organisation to make money. If i replaced right into a shareholder in Apple i could like them to charge as much as they are able to smash out with. The smash factor line is whilst people end identifying to purchase because of the fact the cost is basically too intense. they are not at that factor yet.

Yeah in the beginning the first IPODs came with adapters. The new ones don't.
