It all really depends...But The soonest you usually can get a postive is 10 days after conception. But usually it is best to wait for a missed period and test after that. That will be most accurate and you wont have to test a million times!

Some women, like my wife, know the very next day that they are pregnant. They can feel the difference in their bodies. Pregnancy tests at the pharmacy can sometimes detect the hormone change within one week of intercourse. Usually the woman waits until the period is late. Where were you in your cycle? That makes a difference. My wife always ovulated early so to wait until the fourteenth day of the cycle didn't work for her. Depending on your own cycle, you could conceive anywhere between the end of the period until the pms sets in before the next one.

You should wait to take a test till the first day of your missed period. But there is a first response test that you can take 4 days before your missed period. Still I would wait till you have missed your period and then go get a blood test done from your ob/gyn to to be sure and you don't get false answers.

There are pregnancy tests out there now that can detect the pregnancy hormone early. You should go ahead and take one now, but still, it may be more accurate if you wait until your first missed period.

Wait to see if you get your period first. Then if it doesn't come or it's not normal take a pregnancy test.
