Try calling the Salvation Army or Goodwill or a Church organization in your area, they may be able to give you clothes to fit your two boys, where-by giving you a chance to give them a gift.

Good luck, God Bless, and Get Well Soon. Merry Christmas!

Some counties have xmas programs for children. Maybe even Salvation Army or Toys for Tots? I wish I could help, because I would. But I am a newly single parent of two and struggling myself. My kids are 2 & 5. I even got clothes that the kids needed and wrapped them up. They are only getting 2 toys this year, when they usually get 5-6 a piece. Believe me, I know how you feel.
Outside of xmas, check with your county on energy assistance. Each state and county has a program available. If you're in danger of disconnect there is also times that crisis funds are available. Remember the meaning of Christmas. Take the time this year, when you don't have much, to show your boys the meaning. Good Luck, and I hope in someway I have helped you.

I'm a single mom with three young kids - 14, 12 and 9 and I feel for you - breaks my heart to hear what you're going through. I might be able to help in some way - I would like to at least try. I might not be able to provide new clothing since my funds are limited too, but I could perhaps go through my boys' clothes that they have outgrown and see if they match the sizes you need. Also, have you checked with local churches, food pantries, town hall, etc. to see if there's anything they can do? A couple of years ago when I wasn't working I relied on the toys for tots program which helped so much. Where are you located?

See if your town has a Christmas dinner, ours does at the highschool, and there are presents there. you can go through the line, everyone gets a turn until the donated stuff is gone. We have lots of people who go, even those who don't need help, as part of the community. We volunteer and it's nice to spend time with people who appreciate it.

You might also call the hospital, often there are programs that are coordinated through there to help people who have been in certain conditions.

Good luck, God bless. I know about tight situations. Have you checked your local Salvation army? It sounds gross, but Wednesday is their half off clothing day, and last week I got a brand new gymboree dress for my one year old, for $2. I love a deal, and even if we were rolling in money I'd shop there.

Your kids are still school age...have a sit down with their principal. You know the casual dress days that a lot of work places have? Well, the employees (or faculty, as the case may be) actually have to pay to dress down (maybe about $20 a head), and the funds usually go into a pool for things like this. The Salvation Army is also a good choice, as well as many churches. But I'm thinking your children's schools will be the biggest help because they know them.

first the utilities, most companies have hardship programs; contact them and ask; call the local churches, tell them your circumstance, if you can't get out , they may even deliver to your home; knights of columbus , lions group ; local police associations are having collections; I live in CT and they were collecting gift cards, clothes etc; best bet is to pick up the phone and call ; now for you, I wish you good health, happiness, best wishes for you and your boys ; post what State etc you are in so we can really help more; you have my prayers ; Merry Christmas ;

There are alot of places in each city including the one you live in that can help you with Christmas. Alot of them will provide especially clothing for them! It may not be the $50 pair if jeans alot of teens like but nice clothes that are warm. I had one year like yours and it was extrmeley awful and horrible but we made it thru even stronger than before and yes I have a 16 year old son. This year alone he donated his Xbox-and Ps2 to Toys for tots cuz he now has the ps3 and the xbox 360 so Im hoping someone gets them that will enjoy them completely. That year I made my family alot of coupons such as for my son: One day out of chores, getting out of dishes, staying up late, one lunch for just me and you and so on. Use your imagination. They are old enough to understand things and hopefully they will. I know its hard but remember- Christmas is about family and being together. Watch some movies- pop popcorn- and your local health and human services will help u with clothing for them. Contact local Marine Corp office for toys for tots and they will deffinetely help. God bless you and your family. Remember- u r rich in love
