I remember with my fisrt son I really ate anything and everything, just watched my sodium and caffiene intake. What are some good foods to eat during pregnancy?

Well, leafy greens are good and alot of fruit and veggies. Meat is good but should be cooked well to make sure all bacteria is out of it. I have also found that leafy greens make me go diarrhea so I balance it out with eating bananas and those things to keep me from having it. Don't eat to many bananas though because they can also constipate you. Milk, yogurt, and cheese products are also good because of the calcium. I think those are all good things. Of course watching your sodium and caffine intake are all good things as well but in moderation are still okay. I think it is all in how you balance them out. But these have been my favorites and people vary but for the most part these are a few of the good things you can eat.

When I had morning sickness, I found that protein helped a ton with that, but . . . everything in moderation is what I have been told thru all four pregnancies of my own. I found a couple low fat snacks that I could have any time of day or night so as not to be adding additional unnecessary weight . . . granola and yogurt, frozen sherbet, also once I got mostly over the morning sickness part . . . I ate a lot of salad . . . it is filling, and you can add whatever you want to it to make it just the way you like it! Remember you only need 150-300 extra calories from early to late pregnancy, so just don't overdo it!

Good Luck and Congratulations!

Oranges! When I was pregnant I couldn't get enough oranges and cereal with milk, I seriously went through at least four gallons of milk a week by myself. I was really bad at taking my prenatels so I ate a lot for nutritional value, lots of greens and veggies, I made sure to eat either oatmeal or cream of wheat every morning with eggs and fruit, and lots of juices and yogurts. And I ate like 8 times a day. Also, my cure for nausea was sprite with lemon juice in it, it worked great the few times that I actually felt sick. I also craved pesto so I ate a lot of calzones with pesto in them and I craved spinach and artichoke. Me and my baby were in the best health the whole time that I was pregnant and I didn't gain too much excess weight so I lost it really quick.

Lots of fresh fruits and veggies, nuts, milk, lots of water.
Caffine and junk food is ok in moderation, you dont have to give it up completely.
