I did this one time,,
my kids wanted to play in their pool and I didn't want them to go in cold water so I put hot into it after I had put in cold,,,
I inadverntently sprayed the lawn with the hot water,,,,,it killed all the grass that was sprayed,,,,give it a try,,,the worst it can do is not kill it
