Do you do or say anything to them?

Personally, it doesn't bother me, but it bugs the hell out of my S/O.

that REALLY bothers me a LOT!
I try to get away from them, but if they persist on getting closer and closer to me I will do one of these things:
1. get out of line (if I can and whatever I'm in line for just isn't worth it)
2. ask the person (who is trying to crawl up my back) to just go on ahead of me
3. often they decline this offer but don't get the hint that I want them to back off. In this instance, I come right out and ask them if they would please take a step back. Before they get super angry at me, I explain to them that I suffer from post-traumatic-stress-disorder, having once been attacked from behind, and I suffer panic attacks if anybody stands really close to me or comes up behind me. They usually look at me sympathetically and take a step back at this point.

I only resort to that if I am truly stuck in a line that I can't escape from (like waiting to get on a plane or something) and the person behind me won't take any hints. At that point, I don't care if they think I'm crazy or not. I'm apt to go postal if I don't get some personal space pretty quick.

Yeah, I have a delineated personal space and if someone gets too close I say "any closer and you'll be in front of me". And if they don't get THAT subtle hint, I step backwards a little, hopefully on their foot and say OOPS, thought I had more room back there".
I once got out of my car at a red light and walked to the tailgater behind me and said "any closer and we'll be in a 3 way and I get paid for that" and held out my hand.

In line no, cause I know they don't always have a choice. On the other hand when someone speaks to ya and stands 2inches away from your face and even if you pull back, they come back really close to ya not to mention the bad breath with it, now that is beyond what I can stand...

Ihate when people start pushing, like the cashier at WalMart really wants to hurry, I really hate it when the person behind me repeatedly hits me in the a s s with their cart, the line will not move faster by p*ss*ng me off, but I will be sure to slowly put one item up at a time, as soon as one item gets wrung up, I'll carefully pick the next item to get scanned while the person behind me turns various shades of red and purple

Yeah, it bugs me. Usually I will try to move up a bit, and if they scoot up then I look at them crazy. I hate that soooooo much. I have a 2 feet bubble of personal space that needs to be vacant at all times

I have literally had people ramming their buggy repeatedly into the back of me in line, and it's been all I could do not to turn around and flip out on them. Once in a while I do give a dirty look.

I hate that,I don't like anyone I don't know up in my face for any reason.Or behind me,I feel violated almost in close quarters with any person I don't know personally.
And yes I will ask them to please step away a little.I try to be nice because I know its my problem not theirs.Unless its some old lecherous man then I'm not nice at all.

Dragon needs LOTS of personal space, so it does bother her a lot. She will pointedly stare at them and shuffle as far away as she can get without losing her place in line.

Yeah that bothers me all the time, but I rarely say anything. When I want someone in my space, I'll let them know though..... ;)

It bugs me, I'll try to move away a little at a time or step back and step on them, then hopefully they will realize that they are too close to me.
