My g/f is that same and just won't let me grow one, she convinces me by saying they make me look 10 years older. She just prefers me clean shaven.

You probably can't. The vast majority of women dislike facial hair, and most are pretty vehement about it. It's uncomfortable against the skin, and a lot of women find the sensation unpleasant.
I suspect it also has a subconscious effect. Our culture has taught us that a hidden face is untrustworthy (a legacy of bandits, highwaymen and so on), to the point that motorcycle helmets and hoodies are treated with suspicion. A bearded man is more intimidating to many women than a clean-shaven one.
Unless you go looking for one of those women who likes facial hair (and there are some), your only other options are to be clean-shaven or convince her to tolerate it. In the latter case, don't be surprised if she isn't as keen on kissing etc.
