how do I deactivate my cell phone service?

I will be out of country for about a month, so I would like to deactivate my service. How do I do this? By the way, my service provider is Cingular.

Call your phone company and let them know that. I think they will hold the monthly bill to just basic.

I believe Cingular can put you on temporary deactivation.

Call Cingular and tell them what you want to do.
