I swear to tell the truth and nothing but the truth...
Both sides of telling the truth has its advantages and disadvantages.
Advantages of telling the truth.
1. You will not have to remember what you told to who....
2. You will not have to lie to cover lies and forget which lies you told.
3. I think this is important people will respect and trust you more for telling the truth.
Disadvantages of tell the truth.
1. You can offend someone

I really cannot think of 2 more things for disadvantages of telling the truth..Honest!

I believe that lying is a part of human nature. Deception isn't always bad though, for example what if you're planning a surprise party for your friend. You wouldn't be able to keep the secret if he asked," What are you doing for my birthday". Also, what if you're best friend is embarased because she messed up her lines in a school play. If you couldn't lie, then you would not be able to effectively comfort her. Also, what if your best friend's mother makes a really bad meal. If you had to tell the truth, then you would be being rude. The truth may set you free, but it has the potential to hurt others. Although lying is immoral, sometimes it's harmful effect can justify it.

The truth of the matter is that truth hurts! So if ur keen on hurting peoples feelings (thats cruel....o so cruel....la la la) go ahead and be a blit-bek (blabber mouth in Afrikaans) or if u want people to like u just keep ur mouth shut and YOUR world will be a better place! Being honest is an important quality but you don't want to hurt someone's feelings. For example you don't need to tell somebody they're fat. It's not helpful. If your friend is making bad choices then you should be honest with them so they can make better choices. Corruption is a form of dishonesty and it has hurt lots of people in our country. If I were you I would not want to lie to my friends or family or treat people I work with dishonestly.

No, cause alot of people would get hurt like when a woman really does look fat in a dress you want to spare feelings so its best to lie.
